An Easy Guide to Getting Your Wardrobe Ready for the Holidays

A little Red dress for New Year’s Eve, a trusty Black dress for work parties, a sequin-covered cocktail dress for your family’s holiday party, new shoes for every event or fabulous new accessories. It may seem like you need a closet full of different outfits to get through the holidays…But wait! It doesn’t have to be that difficult. Creating a functional and stylish wardrobe that transitions seamlessly from November through January is easy with the right tips and tricks.

You can even use things you currently have in your closet and simply spice them up. Follow these steps to make getting ready for the holidays simple and stress-free.

Plan Ahead

When it comes to your closet, save a lot of headaches by planning ahead. You may have Holiday Parties, Dinner Parties, and New Year's Eve coming up, so now is a good time to start thinking about what to wear to those events.

If you’re not sure where to start, try to create outfits with pieces you already own. Look through your closet for items you can dress up or down by mixing and matching or simply purchase a new top and fabulous new shoes or accessories.

Creating an outfit with pieces you already own will save you time and money while recreating a new look.   You may be pleasantly surprised at the outfits you can create by looking at your current wardrobe in a brand new light.

Buy a great fitting staple item: pants, dress or jacket or a fabulous new accessory to elevate an outfit in an effortless way

If you’re still not sure what you will wear for the holidays, make a list of what you’re hoping to wear from your closet, think about how you want to look and feel and don't be afraid to go shopping for yourself with a list of what you are hoping to buy.  Make sure to buy items that you know you’ll be able to wear again and again. These items are called staples because they are the items that are essential to your wardrobe and can be worn with other outfits. For some, a few staple items and a festive new accessory are all they need to get through the holiday season. You may want to consider a red or black cocktail dress, a new blazer, a sequined top, or a pair of shimmering black heels, or red pumps. These are the items that you’ll wear over and over that make you feel beautiful, confident and ready for anything the holiday season throws your way. A fab accessory or two will  also go a long way to adding that pop of color or sparkle to an outfit and give it a Holiday feel.  Creating a new holiday outfit can be fun and also easy

Conclusion

The holidays are a wonderful time of year, but they can be overwhelming, especially when it comes to getting dressed.

Invest in yourself by  purchasing  a new staple item or something that is fabulous and that you adore.  Remember, if you love it you will always feel great in it.  It’s also important to remember that while the holidays are a special time, your everyday wardrobe should be stylish, comfortable and functional too. Whether you’re heading to the office or attending a party, your clothes should make you feel good about yourself.  Adding a new staple item, a fashionable new shoe  or a trendy new  accessory can be the key to a great new elevated style.

Allow yourself to feel fabulous this holiday season.  The holidays are a time for family, friends, celebration and feeling thankful.

I’m grateful for all of you.  Thank you for the honor and privilege of allowing me to help you love how you look and feel in your personal style. I appreciate your trust.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
