After Having A Baby, You Might Want To Update Your Wardrobe Style

There’s a quiet shift that happens after having a baby. Your body changes, your schedule changes, and somewhere along the way, your style can start to feel like it belongs to a different version of you. For many young mothers, getting dressed becomes more about convenience than expression, and that’s completely understandable. But updating your wardrobe after having a baby isn’t about chasing trends or “bouncing back.” It’s about reconnecting with yourself in a new chapter. As my recent client told me... she wanted to look like an adult.

The first step is giving yourself permission to let go of what no longer works and feel excited about bringing in a newer more elevated style. Focus on pieces that meet you where you are now, no more pregnancy or covid style... Perhaps high-waisted denim with stretch, soft structured blazers, elevated basics, a denim shirt or two and dresses that move with you. Comfort and style are not mutually exclusive.

There are so many wonderful pieces out there, it's just getting clear on what your style is and how you want to look.

Function matters more than ever now however it doesn't mean sacrificing your personality. Easy fabrics, machine-washable pieces, a great pair of sunglasses, a chic sneaker, or a well-cut jacket can instantly elevate even the simplest outfit.

It’s also worth redefining what “put together” means for you. Maybe it’s a matching set that takes the guesswork out of getting dressed, or a new go-to uniform of jeans, a tee, and a jacket that always works. Style in this phase is less about variety and more about ease.

Remember, getting dressed can actually be easy and not overwhelming by having pieces in your wardrobe that add personality and flair with a touch of sophistication. ·
